Life at InterSources

Bringing people, technology, and practical thinking together to solve operational challenges. Founded in 2007, InterSources supports organizations of different sizes and stages through offices in the United States, Costa Rica, and India.

EXPERIENCE YOU CAN COUNT ON

When plans change, commitment shows.

In 2007, Ankit Shah founded InterSources without outside investors. A year later, its largest client—a major retailer—filed for bankruptcy. The company was barely underway when he had to rebuild it.
He did.

That experience shaped a commitment that carries into client relationships today: listen when circumstances change, work through difficult choices, and follow through.

For you, that means a team that responds to today’s pressures without losing sight of what you’re building.

More ways to solve a problem

Your needs determine the approach—not the other way around.

InterSources began by connecting organizations with specialized talent. As relationships deepened, clients brought challenges that hiring alone could not solve. Systems were disconnected. Manual processes consumed time. Security and data demands intensified.
Those needs led us into software development, cloud, data, cybersecurity, and AI. Each capability gave clients another way to overcome an obstacle.

For you, that means recommendations can draw on people, technology, or both. The problem determines the approach, rather than the services we happen to offer.

The client experience

You should know where things stand and who stands behind the work.

You know your organization better than any outside provider. We listen before recommending and explain why an approach makes sense, including its limitations. You know who owns each responsibility.
Updates answer three questions: What is complete? What needs attention? Where is your input needed? Concerns reach you while there is still time to act.
When the unexpected interrupts the plan, you don’t have to retell the story. You have people who know the stakes. Your knowledge and our experience become the source of what’s next.

What we stand for

Better technology should make life better for people.

  1. People give technology its purpose.

A system can meet every specification and still make someone’s day harder. We consider the people using, supporting, and depending on it, so you can accomplish more with fewer obstacles.

  2. The first answer should be a question.

Before recommending anything, we ask what you want to accomplish, what stands in the way, and what already works. We listen before prescribing, so you can weigh recommendations grounded in your circumstances.

  3. The best parts do not guarantee the best whole.

Technology, specialists, and vendors need more than individual strengths. We coordinate responsibilities, dependencies, and decisions, so you can concentrate on results instead of chasing answers between providers.

  4. Sometimes the best addition is a subtraction.

Another tool can bring another cost, another handoff, and another source of exposure. We look for ways to simplify before recommending more, so you can get more from what you already have.

  5. A changed plan does not cancel accountability.

When circumstances shift, you should not have to wonder who owns the problem. We explain the implications, work through the options, and follow through, so you can respond without carrying the burden alone.

  6. Solving today’s problem should not create tomorrow’s.

Immediate needs matter, but so does your ability to adapt. We consider future requirements, dependencies, and flexibility so today’s choices leave you room to maneuver.

  7. How we work together affects what you receive.

We ask questions, challenge assumptions, and share knowledge so problems surface earlier and decisions improve. We respect workloads and take responsibility for our commitments, so you can count on both the work and the people behind it.

Our commitments have substance.
